This summer, I have the incredible honor of joining a mission team traveling to Chilinza Village, Malawi with Mosaic Global and the Mosaic Education Initiative. It is not an exaggeration to say this is one of the greatest privileges of my life — and I am asking the people I love and trust most to help send me.

Every gift matters, no matter the size. Both goals below are funded through the same campaign, and every dollar will be put to work — either sending me to Malawi, or directly equipping the school and kitchen once I arrive.

The story behind the mission

Twenty years of showing up — and staying.

For over 20 years, Mosaic Global has traveled the world to walk alongside communities in developing countries — transforming lives, equipping people, and helping shape futures that might otherwise go unreached. Their work is not charity in the traditional sense. It is partnership. It is presence. It is showing up and staying.

Last year, alongside their partners at Live Love, Mosaic Global broke ground on something extraordinary: a brand-new elementary school in Chilinza Village, Malawi. The Chilinza Village Elementary School will serve 1,600 students in grades 1 through 8 — children who deserve a safe place to learn, grow, and dream about what their lives can become.

The school is almost ready. But almost is not enough. Before the school year begins, there is one urgent need that must be met — and this is where you come in.

Goal: $9,200

A kitchen that works.

The new school was built with a kitchen. But before a single child can be fed, it needs to be fully equipped. Every student at Chilinza Village Elementary is meant to receive one nutritious meal every school day. For many of them, it will be the most reliable meal they get.

Right now, Chilinza Village's youngest students attend school outside, without desks or chairs. Mosaic Global's goal is that every child regularly attends primary school in a real classroom — with a desk, a daily meal, and medical care on-site — paving the way through high school and college.
